New York State has just released information concerning the accountability status for school districts and individual schools for the 2006-2007 school year.  These designations are based on the NYS assessments given to students in grades 3-12 during the 2005-2006 school year.  Minisink Valley School District has been designated as a school district "In Good Standing."  However, the middle school continues to be a "School Requiring Academic Progress" because of the performance of students on the English Language Arts (ELA) exams given last January.  We continue to work with our administrators, faculty, and staff to develop programs and instructional practices to help all of our students meet the academic standards set by New York State.
