Seniors who plan to drive and park on the MV campus this year completed part three of the Not One More plan for the 2007-2008 school year.  Last April, Minisink Valley Kiwanis sponsored a community program. In May, the high school sponsored the DUI simulator for the junior class who are now seniors.

This year, seniors seeking a parking permit participated in a special assembly consisting of a video and guest speakers reminding students about impulsive and destructive decision making, the dangers in multi-tasking while driving, and the need to drive defensively, always expecting the unexpected on the road.

Parents, guardians, family and friends are encouraged to discuss safe driving topics at home. Hopefully, working together, we can help keep our young adults free from harm.   (Pictured here is senior, Kenneth Sweeney, picking up his parking pass from secretary, Jean Dowling.)
