MVHS ACCOUNTING STUDENTS GET INSIDE LOOK AT A "BIG FOUR"

What’s new and exciting in the accounting field? What better place to find out but New York City’s headquarters of one of the world’s "Big Four" professional services and accounting firms?

High school students in Mr. Burns's accounting class recently visited Ernst & Young (EY) in Manhattan to get the pulse on current trends and new directions for accounting businesses and professionals.

Students participated in a workshop presented by EY's director of learning and development operations and Minisink Valley graduate Kelly Dolson. Also participating were Minisink Valley graduates and EY’s employees Andrea Laquidara and Chelsey Faust.

Students had the opportunity to learn about EY's company culture and ask questions about career choices and preparation.

The annual field trip is part of the accounting curriculum and helps prepare students for a future in one of today's most profitable careers in the United States.
