Key Club Leadership Training Conference 2017

Earlier this spring, members of MVHS Key Club participated in the annual, weekend-long Leadership Training Conference in Albany, NY.

Key clubbers from across the state gathered to celebrate the closing of their service year and the start of a new one, while participating in leadership training workshops and group activities.

Among Minisink representatives was sophomore Trisha Melton who was recognized for accepting the position of Lieutenant Governor (LTG) of New York District Key Club Division 13.

Minisink student nominated new Lieutenant Governor of NY's Division 13

Trisha Melton takes over this position from former LTG Lovina John, a graduating senior. As the new LGT, Trisha will shoulder the responsibility for supporting and growing the clubs within her division, and serving as a liaison between the district and the clubs. Division 13 spans across the counties of Orange, Sullivan and Ulster and encompasses the school districts of Chester, Cornwall, Ellenville, Fallsburg, Middletown, Minisink, Monticello, and Newburgh.

“Trisha has been doing an amazing job during her transition into the LGT position,” said Nick Mikulski, MVHS Key Club president. “Time and time again she has impressed us, as she begins to meet the goal of empowering students to bring what they learn in Key Club to the local community year round, and, ultimately, to bring Division 13 together.”

MVHS Key Club and the entire Division 13 congratulates Trisha on her an outstanding achievement.

Other new officers:
