MVHS KEY CLUB DELIVERS HANDMADE HOLIDAY GIFTS TO VETERANS

By Danielle Bellettiere
Key Club Member

All through December, members of the Minisink Valley Key Club worked like elves on a mission to make no-sew fleece blankets for veterans residing at the Valley View Senior Center. Laboring after school to the sound and spirit of Christmas music, they were joined in the effort by local Kiwanis members. Together they made 50 blankets in total, a thoughtful holiday gift for these deserving heroes.

“I hope that receiving these blankets brings the veterans as much joy as making them brought us,” said Key Club Vice President Kyle Ferguson. “We were happy to be able to make the holidays a little more special for our local veterans,” President Nick Mikulski said.

The way this winter is unfolding, fleece blankets might prove a most suitable and comforting gift.
