On Wednesday evening, February 14, 2018, acting on a tip from staff at the transportation center, the district reported to the New York State Police that a bus driver had made a threat of violence directed toward other district employees. At no time was a threat made directly involving our students, and/or our schools. Following the investigation into this matter, the State Police made the determination to arrest the driver. We will continue to assist law enforcement with their investigation.

Due to the swift response on the part of the district and the State Police, no imminent threat exists and we have encouraged our faculty, staff and students to carry on with their instructional day. As always, the faculty and staff at Minisink Valley Central Schools remain vigilant in our efforts to ensure a safe environment for our students and school community.
