SCIENCE CLASS ANALYZES SPEED USING HOT WHEELS

Mr. Hoffman’s 8th Grade Science students used “Hot Wheels” to investigate the motion of toy cars.  Students created a “race track” and positioned themselves with stop watches at various points along the track.  As the car passed each point, students recorded the time in their data charts.  After three trials students headed back to the classroom and used the data to analyze the speed of the vehicle as well as to complete graphs and analyze the reliability of this experiment.
