Students in Mr. Budd’s 7th grade technology class are making their own rulers! They start by sanding a ruler blank which is then placed into an 80-watt laser engraver to imprint the measurement markings. In the last phase of the project, students personalize their rulers using a 25-watt laser engraver to imprint their names. At the end of the first quarter, they will take their rulers and experience the satisfaction of utilizing something they produced. This annual project was first developed by Mr. Corwin, and Mr. Budd is happy to keep it going. For additional photos, go to our Facebook page
