HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER PRESENTS AT CONFERENCE OF PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION

Peg Lazzari, high school Health teacher and chair of the Physical Education department, was a presenter at the eastern district conference of SHAPE America (Society of Health and Physical Educator) held in Atlantic City, NJ, May 22-24.

Always the advocate for healthy and active living, Mrs. Lazzari’s presentation was titled "Healthy Teachers, Healthy Kids" and it offered valuable tips on how to promote health and wellness in schools and in the community.  Her presentation aligned with SHAPE America’s "50 Million Strong by 2029" campaign which commits the organization’s members to empower all children to lead healthy and active lives – by the time today's youngest students graduate from high school in 2029.

Participants in the two-day conference benefited from the insight of 160 speakers and 150 professional and commercial presentations designed to provide teachers with strategies to enhance instructional methods, assessment techniques and to make learning fun.
