Each year the high school’s band program hosts a mini marching band camp to help student musicians get ready to perform at the home varsity football games.  Band leaders – aka drum majors – teach new members the band’s marching technique and direct the rehearsals. Together they practice all of the music to be played in the stands as "pep" music and work on the musical numbers for the half-time performance.

“I am very excited about this year’s freshman class,” said drum major Amanda Sanok, a flautist in her senior year. “They are focused and talented, and we are going to have a great marching band season.” Freshman Katie Dullaghan and Crystal Dixon were excited to be learning so much in one short day, and surprised to feel so welcome and comfortable around experienced band members.

Band boosters, led by Mr. and Mrs. Haber, volunteered their time to organize, set up and serve lunch to all participating students. The Habers are also responsible for helping to distribute the band’s dashing uniforms. The Warrior Marching Band’s first performance is Friday, September 16, at the John Bell Athletic Field when Minisink’s Warriors will play against the Kingston Tigers.  GO WARRIORS!
