On Saturday, October 15th, 2016 the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered at Minisink Valley High School. The test will begin at 7:45am and end at approximately 11:15 am. Students should enter the building through the front doors and report directly to the auditorium.

All sophomores and juniors are encouraged to take this test, particularly those students who are planning additional educational training beyond high school. Your scores can help you evaluate your plans for college as well as choose your Junior and Senior year courses.  It will also give you a good idea of what to expect when you take the College Board Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), a test which most colleges require of their applicants.

In addition, for juniors taking the October 15th PSAT/NMQST, it is the first step necessary to be considered for scholarships offered by the National Merit Scholarship Committee.

The fee for this examination is $25.00 (no refunds).  When the students pay their fee, they will receive a booklet on the PSAT, including a sample test. Each student should take the time to completely familiarize him/herself with all the aspects of this test.
