The MVHS will host the popular annual Badminton Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Students in Physical Education have been practicing their skills and competing for a chance to play in the tournament. Winners from each class period have the opportunity to pair up and battle it out for the championship. Along with exquisite demonstrations of physical skill, players also compete in a costume contest.

The JROTC Color Guard will lead the opening ceremonies, and members of the school band will entertain with musical performances throughout the day. Photography students will be documenting the event.

Senior Noah Dirks is aiming to defend his 2016 first place title in the men’s division with his new partner Garrett Doherty. “We’ve been preparing to dominate the court. Noah and I come into this competition with skill, speed, and experience. I am confident that we will win,” Doherty said.

The high school faculty and staff are looking forward to a day of Warrior Pride, sportsmanship, and unity.

Good Luck to all participants! This event is only open to high school students.
