MINISINK VALLEY HONORS 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF NYS POLICE WITH COMMEMORATIVE SIGN

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the New York State Police, Minisink Valley technology teachers Rich Budd and Andrew Mink, and art teacher Kat Hoolan, presented a commemorative wooden sign to the Greenville barracks of NYS Police on February 15.

Several district and building administrators joined high-ranking members of Troop F to mark this important milestone in our local history.

The sign was created by technology and art faculty over the past few months. From concept to design, execution and revision, all steps in the process reflect some of the course work offered through Minisink's technology and art programs.

“It is only fitting that we should recognize our law enforcement community and their invaluable service on this historic occasion. We also want to acknowledge our faculty for consistently using their talent and skills to help strengthen the bonds between our school and our community,” said Superintendent Brian Monahan.

The 100th anniversary of NYS Police will be celebrated across the state throughout the year.
