HIGH SCHOOL BOOK CLUB AND K-2 STUDENTS CELEBRATE READING TOGETHER

In celebration of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’s birthday, student members of the High School Book Club traveled across campus to the elementary school on March 3 to read to K-2 classes.

Sporting Dr. Seuss tops, costumes or hats, they toted along their favorite Dr. Seuss books. Each high school student read to one class in each grade. They gave out stickers and bookmarks, and enjoyed the hugs and smiles they received in return. It was hard to tell who had the most fun: the K-2 audiences, or the high school readers.

“This yearly tradition has become a favorite event with our book club members. They can't wait to come back next year!” said Dolores Lombardo, club adviser and library media specialist.
