Thirty-four JROTC cadets recently enjoyed an educational, four-day trip to Washington D.C.

For many of the participating students this was their first close-up with some of the nation’s most important sites and symbols of government and history.

Highlights included visits to the Pentagon, the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, the U.S. Capitol Building, the Museum of National History, the Arlington National Cemetery, the National Mall, and the Marine Corps Museum. Not least of all, the group was treated to a performance by the U.S. Army Downrange rock band!

Minisink Valley JROTC acknowledges all individuals who supported the club in this endeavor.
