PINWHEELS FOR PEACE

Nine years ago, the United Nations General Assembly designated September 21 as United Nations International Day of Peace.  Otisville students honored this day by participating in Pinwheels for Peace.  Pinwheels for Peace began in 2005 as an art installation in which pinwheels were used as a symbol of simplicity and childhood.  Today, it is estimated that 3 million pinwheels from around the world will be raised to the sky to promote PEACE!  Special thanks to Mrs. Kulchinsky and Mrs. Hughes for making our Pinwheels for Peace project a success.
