The Minisink Valley Kiwanis, faculty, staff and administration of the Minisink Valley School District are collecting cans, boxes and bags of soup, pasta and vegetables to help needy families in our district and the local food pantries.  Our goal this year is to collect 2,500 cans and so far students and staff have brought in 752 cans.  The campaign will continue for the next two weeks and will end March 3.  If each child brings in two cans or boxes each, we will definitely be able to reach our goal this year.  Within the first couple of weeks of the campaign, Mrs. Jennings's Kindergarten class and Mrs. Harrison's First Grade class received the "Golden Can Award" for collecting the most cans of soup in one week.  This soup collection enables the staff and students of Otisville to contribute to their community in a tangible and meaningful way. Together, we can make a difference.
