OTISVILLE STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT FIRE SAFETY FROM LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS

As part of the annual Fire Safety Week, firefighters representing the Otisville, Mount Hope, Greensville and Howells Fire Departments gathered at Otisville Elementary on Oct. 14 to talk with our students and answer their questions. Basic fire-safety instruction and advice included “Stop, Droll and Roll” and encouraging children to never run away from a firefighter at the scene of a fire. Students enjoyed an up-close look at fire engines and their equipment, and they learned how the equipment is used to lives.

OES recognizes the men and women who help keep our homes, families and community safe and thanks them for taking the time to speak to students about fire safety. (To see additional photos, please click on the post's title.)
