K9 VISITS THE CLASSES OF MRS. McEVOY & MRS. MARASCO

After reading a story about a police officer and his K-9 partner, Mrs. VanderDrift/Mrs. McEvoy’s 4th grade class had the privilege of welcoming Trooper Bryan Tormey and his dog, CT, from the New York State Police to Minisink Valley Intermediate School today.  We learned that police dogs are very important because they can run much faster than people and are able to jump over high fences.  They can also track and find lost things or lost people using their great sense of smell.  CT showed off some of his special skills, and then we all got a chance to pet him!  Thank you again to Trooper Tormey and CT!
