This week, the week of April 26, marks the beginning of the 2010 testing season.  Some important dates you should keep in mind are listed below.

ELA Test:

  • Third grade - April 26-27 (2 days)
  • Fourth grade - April 26-28 (3 days)
  • Fifth grade - April 27-28 (2 days)

Math Test:

  • Third grade - May 5-6 (2 days)
  • Fourth grade - May 5-7 (3 days)
  • Fifth grade - May 6-7 (2 days)

Grade 4 Science Test:

  • Only fourth grade takes this test
  • Classes to take performance test (hands-on) on either May 25 or May 26
  • Written examination to be administered to all fourth graders on June 7

While the state does provide a short window for make-up examinations in the event that students are absent, this window is tight with all of the testing being administered in such a short amount of time.  If your child has an upcoming planned absence during the testing window, please let your child's teacher or the intermediate office know as soon as possible.  We may be able to make alternate arrangements within the testing window.
