FIFTH GRADERS CELEBRATE AT MOVING-UP CEREMONY

With fond memories in tow and their sights set on the future, all eight 5th grade classes gathered in the intermediate school’s auditorium for their moving-up ceremony on Monday, June 20.

Introduced by principal Paul Dombal and their respective teachers, student-representatives from each class shared stories of their intermediate school years with families and friends in the audience. They acknowledged the positive impact of teachers, administrators and school staff, exciting extra-curricular opportunities they were given, memories they will treasure, and looked ahead to new privileges and responsibilities awaiting them at the middle school, next year.

After accepting their 5th grade certificates, the classes sang “Love In Any Language” directed by chorus teacher Jeanne MacDonald.  Mrs. MacDonald is retiring this summer after 30 years of dedicated service to the district. She was acknowledged by the school community following her last intermediate school choral performance.  She will be missed by all.
