“We learned to never give up,” was Ethelina Albert’s big takeaway from a recent NED Show offered to Intermediate School students during a school assembly.

With the tagline, “There’s a champion in every kid,” NED is a character education program based on the lovable cartoon, NED, whose name stands for N-never give up, E-encourage others, D-do your best. To help kinds connect to this simple but powerful message, the 45-minute NED assemblies use humor and magic tricks.

"I thought the show was really cool because it teaches you how to do yoyo tricks, and never give up," said Chloe Peterson. Kathleen Gutierrez also got the message: "Its cool how kids can learn to never give up." For Baron Mazariegos, the show meant something more personal: "I felt encouraged."

NED assemblies are complemented by teacher access to lesson plans, videos and activities to help integrate a culture of kindness and excellence into existing curriculum.
