With the help of some enthusiastic parents, Mrs. Fitzgibbons' first grade class participated in Native American centers this week.  During their learning through a thematic unit about daily life of the Native Americans, the children learned a rain dance, participated in a name ceremony, made a dreamcatcher, sewed a satchel, assembled a tipi, and drew and told a story using petroglyphs (or picture writing).  No wonder why the pilgims were so excited to share a feast with their Native American friends.
