The girls varsity soccer program is proud to recognize eight graduating players: Samantha Cloidt, Nikki Colantuono, Brooke Gallagher, Madison Jashembowski, Emma Krish, Ava Mankoo, Miquela Quiles, and Devyn Spino.

These technically and tactically sound athletes have set the highest standards on the field and in the classroom, and stand as model citizens in our school community.

Since joining the soccer program on the modified team, they have participated in numerous charitable and fundraising efforts. Most notably, they helped raise over $6,000 for the American Brain Tumor Association in honor of former Minisink student-athlete, Wendy Herm. They were also instrumental in raising over $3,000 for the Hosking Farm Recovery Fund, and this season the varsity team volunteered at The Promenade Nursing Home during Bingo Night.

These are all-star athletes with big hearts and all were recognized with a Scholar Athlete Award for the 2016-2017 school year.

Our Senior Night ceremony took place on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Prior to the game against division rival, Warwick, our seniors were escorted out onto the field by family members and were congratulated by school and district officials. After the game, younger players presented words of appreciation to their graduating peers, followed by cake and gifts.

We wish them continued success and all the best with their future endeavors. Congratulations on a great season!
