Dear parents and guardians:

The Minisink Valley School District is modifying its school calendar and next Wednesday, March 18, will now be a half day for students.

This will allow our administration and faculty to continue to plan and strategize in the event of a school closure of varying lengths tied to the COVID-19 virus.  This is part of our ongoing and thorough review of our preparedness plans as this fluid situation continues to unfold.

Dismissal times are:
Middle school:  11:02 a.m.
High school: 11:20 a.m.
ES/IS/OE:  12:20 p.m.

We know this short notice may be an inconvenience for some families, but we thank you for your understanding and continued trust in safeguarding the health, safety and security of your children while they are in school.  This is our first priority. However, we are equally committed to ensuring instructional opportunities are in place for your children should that be necessary.

We will continue to reach out with any updated information when needed.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
