OTISVILLE STUDENTS IMAGINE A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTODIAN

At Otisville Elementary, we take great pride in our beautiful building and grounds, so when our school’s PTO declared a Custodian Recognition Day, our students and teachers jumped to it.

During a PTO sponsored event on Tuesday, Jan. 30, students showed their appreciation for their school custodians with posters, cards, words of praise, and  superhero cutouts. To the delight of their honorees, Mrs. Mynders’s fifth graders produced and performed, “A Day in the Life of a Custodian.” (Exhausting!) Mrs. Amatetti’s first graders spent much of their school day dressed up as custodians, and made custodian hats.

Expressing the gratitude of school families, the PTO presented gift bags and a celebratory cake.

Otisville’s custodial staff plays a critical role in the safety and success of our students and school community. They create positive first-impressions for our visitors, and contribute to our school pride. We thank each one of them for the difference they make every day.
