At its 24th annual awards ceremony on May 31, Minisink Valley High School JROTC recognized cadets who dedicated themselves to reaching higher goals, and said farewell to graduating seniors.

Presented awards included best overall cadet for academics, superior cadet, best drill cadet, and scholarships from local and national organizations.

Special congratulations go to the newly-selected top three cadets who will lead the battalion through another successful year in 2017-18: C/LTC Sierra Mitts, Battalion Commander; C/MAJ Anthony Bozzone, Executive Officer; and C/CSM Sahel Shah, Command Sergeant Major.

C/2LT John Konopka and C/2LT Bethany Carpenter received sabers for best drill cadet and best overall cadet.

Congratulations to all award recipients. Your hard work paid off!
