Late last night, Wed., May 3, Minisink Valley Central School District officials were made aware of a rumor circulating among students of a potential threat to the high school on Friday, May 5.

District officials immediately contacted New York State Police and a complete investigation is ongoing. Out of an abundance of caution, there is a police presence on the district’s main campus and Otisville campus today. The instructional day for students will not be disrupted by police presence or their investigation.

As always, we take any threat to the safety of our students and staff very seriously, and we are fully invested in coordinating efforts with law enforcement to investigate and remove any potential danger.
