Intermediate school’s ‘Kindness Ambassadors’ reinforce importance of kindness during ‘Great Kindness Challenge’

Kindness ambassadorsKudos to the Intermediate School’s “Kindness Ambassadors!

During last week’s “Great Kindness Challenge,” they visited elementary school classrooms and presented short lessons about the power of kindness to Minisink Valley’s littlest students.

Plus: Take a look at some of the wonderful poster work created by Intermediate School students, too.

As part of “Great Kindness Challenge” activities, students also watched the short film “Ian,” in lieu of recess time, followed with group discussions. “Ian” is a short, animated film inspired by the real-life Ian, a boy with a disability determined to get to the playground despite his playmates bullying him. This film sets out to show that children with disabilities can and should be included.
