Ms ColmanJenna Colman, Fourth-Grade
Why are you excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff?
I’m looking forward to being part of a school that functions and feels like a true collaborative community. I’ve already gotten a preview from summer school and I’m excited to be a part of it.

What do you want the community to know and expect about you in your new role?
I’m a big communicator! I pride myself on my relationships with both my students and their families. You can also expect tons of positivity! I try to frame almost everything in a positive way.

Why are you excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff?
From the moment my oldest son entered Otisville Elementary School for his Kindergarten screening, I knew that Minisink Valley was special. For the past 15 years, I have had the good fortune to build relationships within, and make connections to our district as a parent, community member, and substitute teacher. What a gift and inspiration it has been to witness the dedication, talent, resilience, flexibility and sense of family that our staff, students, and families exhibit everyday. I am truly honored and grateful to be able to continue my teaching career within our exceptional district, Minisink Valley.

What do you want the community to know and expect about you in your new role?
I look forward to my new role as third-grade teacher in Otisville Elementary School with great excitement and anticipation. My 12 years of prior teaching experience have taught me that I am a lifelong learner, a belief that I feel is important for my students to embrace for themselves as well. I am committed to supporting and building positive relationships with my students and their families as we navigate these trying times. With patience, understanding, and a sense of humor, I believe we will thrive.

Why are you excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff?
I am more than excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff.  I get the impression that this is a strong community that thrives on everyone’s success.  I truly believe that the staff at Minisink Valley support each other’s personal and professional growth and I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful school community.

What do you want the community to know and expect about you in your new role?
I would like the community to know that although I am a little bit shy at the beginning, I am very friendly, and I am always willing to help in any way I can.  I am a fast learner, especially with technology. The things they can expect from me at my new role are collaboration, commitment, professionalism and integrity.
