Dear Minisink Valley Elementary School families:

Minisink Valley Elementary School has large numbers of staff who are quarantined due to COVID-19 exposure issues. Their ability to instruct remotely is not impacted, but this does cause in-person staffing issues in this building.

We were hopeful this would have been resolved by the time in-person instruction resumes on Monday, Dec. 14. However, this is not the case.

At this time, the elementary school will remain on a fully remote schedule through Tuesday, Dec. 15.  Students are anticipated to return to class on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Please note: Only the elementary school is currently impacted. If you have children in other buildings who are in-person, hybrid students, we look forward to welcoming them back on Monday, Dec. 14.

Decisions like this are not easy and we understand the impact they have. I appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding. Please reach out to your child’s principal with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
