MV Elementary’s ‘Transportation Day’ is an educational and fun day for students

Racing cars, fire trucks, police cars, a dump truck, an electric company truck and a school bus!  Today, May 19, was Transportation Day at Minisink Valley Elementary School, where students had a chance get up close to vehicles they see in their communities and speak with the people who operate them.

“Our students see most of these vehicles every day as part of their daily lives,” said Principal Deborah Gallant. “We’re so happy that we were able to showcase them up close to our students and give them an opportunity to talk with their operators about the important roles they play in our community. Thank you to our wonderful participants for spending time with us.”
