Visiting the Minisink Valley Central School District
The Minisink Valley Central School District is located in Orange County, New York, 70 miles northwest of New York City.
The district encompasses 115 square miles and is one of the largest school districts in the southern tier of New York State. It is located between the Hudson and Delaware rivers, with New Jersey to the south and Pennsylvania to the west.
Directions to the Slate Hill campus (High School, Middle School, and Minisink Valley Intermediate and Minisink Valley Elementary schools)
From the northbound New York State Thruway, take Exit 16/Harriman to Route 17 West. Exit at Exit 123/Route 17M West/Route 6 West. Stay on this road for approximately five miles, then turn left onto Route 6 West. Follow Route 6 West for four miles through Slate Hill. The Minisink Valley campus is just past Slate Hill on the left.
An alternative is to remain on Route 17 West and exit at Exit 121W/I-84/Scranton. Follow I-84W to Exit 15B/Route 17M/Middletown. (This is formerly Exit 3W). From Route 17M, turn left on Route 6 West. Follow Route 6 West for four miles through Slate Hill. The Minisink Valley campus is just past Slate Hill on the left.
From the southbound New York State Thruway, exit at Exit 17/Newburgh-Scranton/I-84 and follow I-84 West to Exit 15B/Route 17M/Middletown. From Route 17M, turn left on Route 6. Follow Route 6 for four miles through Slate Hill. The Minisink Valley campus is just past Slate Hill on your left.
Directions to Otisville Elementary School
Separate from the main campus is Otisville Elementary School, located in the Village of Otisville, approximately seven miles from the main campus.
From I-84:
Exit 15B – Route 17M/Middletown (Exit 15B is formerly Exit 3W)
Left at second light onto County Route 78
Left at second light onto Mt. Hope Road (County Route 11)
Follow 4.5 miles to blinking light (Mt. Hope Convenience Store is at this juncture) . Turn right at light
School is 1.2 miles on the left
From the northbound New York State Thruway:
Exit at Exit 16/Harriman and follow Route 17 West to Exit 121W/I-84/Scranton. Follow I-84W to Exit 15B Route 17M/Middletown.
