Dear Parents and Guardians:

It’s already the middle of the 1st Quarter and we continue to be grateful for your patience during this unprecedented time. It has been critical to Minisink Valley’s successful reopening.

With the 2nd Quarter nearing, this is an opportunity for you to determine your child’s instructional plan for the 2nd Quarter. We want to see as many children in our buildings as possible, but we equally recognize that every family’s situation is unique and must be respected.

Here’s what you need to do:

Continuation of full remote instruction or hybrid in-person instruction:  
If your child is currently receiving full remote instruction or hybrid in-person instruction, and you want to continue with this model into the 2nd Quarter marking period, there is nothing that you need to do at this time.  

End full remote instruction and start hybrid in-person instruction:
To end full remote instruction, and to start hybrid in-person instruction at the start of the 2nd Quarter, you must email your child’s school.  In your email, please say you want to end remote instruction and that you want your child(ren) to start hybrid in-person instruction at the start of the 2nd Quarter marking period, which begins Nov. 9.  Email requests must be submitted by Oct. 23.  

Enter full remote learning:
If your child is currently receiving hybrid in-person instruction, you can choose to enter into full remote learning at any time.  Please email your child’s school with your request if you would like this option by Oct. 23.   Please note: If you choose this option, you are making a quarterly commitment to full remote learning.

REMINDER: You must let your child’s school know by Oct. 23 if you are requesting changes. This is necessary for us to have accurate numbers in order to provide the safest and best learning environment for our students and staff.

Please be aware that if you choose the fully remote model for the 2nd Quarter, we ask you to be prepared to make the commitment until the start of the 3rd Quarter.
