Senior Tim McChurch’s design to serve as 20th anniversary logo for OU BOCES’ Y2Kids event

Tim ChurchCongratulations to Minisink Valley High School student Tim McChurch, a student in Orange-Ulster BOCES’ Digital Design and Advertising Program, for being selected to redesign OU BOCES’ Y2Kids logo to mark its 20th anniversary.

Tim was chosen for his skill level and his logo design will be seen by students and adults participating in the 2019 event. The 2018 event had close to 2,000 participants.

Middle school-aged students from local school districts, their teachers and parents will participate in this annual interactive career exploration event, which will include various demonstrations and exhibits by local career specialists from a wide variety of professions in the region.

Additionally, career specialists representing area agencies, organizations and businesses in the Mid-Hudson region will demonstrate their professions, and students and staff from OU BOCES’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) center will participate.

Since its inception in 1999, Y2Kids has reached close to 47,000 students. Contributions from local sponsors cover the operating expenses so there is no cost for school districts’ students to participate.
