Transportation

The Minisink Valley Central School District spans 115 square miles, and its buses travel over one million miles per year.

The department has a fleet of 90 buses and two bus runs: One for students in grades 6-12 and one for students in grades K-5. In addition, it provides bus service for various athletic and extracurricular events.

Deadline for non-public transportation requests is April 1

If you’re a resident of the Minisink Valley Central School District and are seeking transportation for a student attending a non-public school next year, please submit the 2024-25 Non-public School Transportation Request Form

The form is due April. 1  Applications are also available through the non-public school your student will attend.

Transportation requests for childcare locations

Transportation will be provided to and/or from childcare locations for students in Grades K-5 subject to these guidelines:

  • Requests for transportation for childcare purposes must be within the child’s school attendance zone
  • Requests for transportation services must be in writing and submitted on the Transportation Request to and/or from Childcare Location form by April 1, prior to the school year in which the service is needed
  • Requests made after the April 1 deadline may be honored only if it can be added on an established route for that school at no additional cost to the district
  • Any permanent change should be submitted at least five days in advance.
