Warriors football team gives back to Veterans

Four football players talk with veterans over dinnerIn honor of local Veterans, members of Minisink Valley’s varsity football team lent a helping hand at the annual dinner of the George C. Smith Post 1607 Orange County American Legion on April 17, in Westtown. They were joined by Veterans from nearby posts in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion.

Players and coaches assisted in setting up the hall and serving the meal and beverages to the Veterans. As always, team members enjoyed casual conversation with their older and wiser neighbors, and learned more about the history of the organization.

Representing Minisink Valley High School and the Athletics program were players Sean Savacool, John Mack, Adam Fenner, Kai Colon, Jonathan Cabrera, Tom Bertuccio and Carson Henry, and Coaches Gallagher and Fenner.
