The proposed $123,533,205 school budget preserves all current academic, co-curricular/athletic opportunities for all students, meaning everything which is in place for this current school year will be maintained in the 2025-26 school year.
This proposed budget includes a 2.79% tax levy increase. This tax levy increase is the total amount of money the district can raise through property taxes. The tax levy increase is below the maximum New York State tax cap levy available to the district. As such, the proposed tax levy is 100% tax cap compliant. The proposed budget needs a simple majority to approve.
The proposed 2025-26 budget also includes the purchase of 12 new school buses: five, 72-passenger buses; two, 42-passenger wheelchair buses and three, 30-passenger wheelchair buses along with two minivans. The cost of these buses is $2,060,410. After estimated total state aid is applied, the net cost is $515,103.
