Congratulations to the seven High School choir students who were accepted and participated in the recent American Choral Directors Association’s (ACDA) All-Eastern Honor Choir:
Charlie Curabba, Alto 1 SATB A Cappella Fusion Ensemble
Heather Day, Soprano 1 SSAA Ensemble
Abigail Mauras, Soprano 1 SATB Ensemble
Gavin McGinnis, Bass 1 A Cappella Fusion Ensemble
Meadow Monaco, Alto 1 SSAA Ensemble
Camilla Montes, Alto 1 SATB Ensemble
Katie Warnken, Soprano 1 SATB Ensemble
During the gathering, which was Feb. 25 to 28 in Providence, R.I., the seven students attended rehearsals with highly renowned conductors, attended performances of other choral ensembles and gave a performance at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence.
“This was an incredible opportunity for the students, as they were given an opportunity to perform with dedicated choral students from all across the northeastern United States,” said Choir Director Danielle Estrada. “The level of dedication and drive these students have is amazing, and they each worked very hard to achieve this opportunity. I know that this experience will only continue to help them grow as musicians, and continue to develop their skills within the art of music and singing.”
The ACDA All-Eastern Choirs are composed of students from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
