The Otisville Elementary School PTO raised $10,000 during its annual Superhero Fun Run on May 30, making it the organization’s most successful fundraiser of the year.
Held under sunny skies, the event drew students, families and community members for a day of activities that included a fun run, obstacle course and raffle giveaways. Students participated wearing personalized Otisville superhero capes and received swag bags as part of the festivities.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support a variety of student programs and activities throughout the school year, including Field Day T-shirts, school planners, assemblies, enrichment opportunities and other educational experiences.

The PTO credited the event’s success to the support of local businesses, organizations and volunteers. Nearly 70 raffle baskets were assembled with donated gift cards and prizes from area businesses.
Additional support was provided by Howells, Orange Energy and Marshall Machinery. The organization also thanked the many families who volunteered and donated raffle items, as well as craft and food vendors who helped create a festival atmosphere. The Otisville Lions Club assisted with the obstacle course and pizza truck, while the Greenville Ambulance Corps offered ambulance tours. The Mount Hope Police Department helped ensure the event was safe and enjoyable for attendees.

PTO officials said the strong turnout and community support demonstrated the commitment local residents have to enhancing educational opportunities for Otisville students. The event highlighted the community’s ongoing investment in the school and its efforts to provide enriching experiences for children throughout the year.
