Minisink Valley community:

For your awareness, the district will host the Orange County Industrial Development Agency’s (OCIDA) public hearing regarding “Project Bluebird,” the proposed 3.2-million-square-foot Amazon fulfillment warehouse at 22 McBride Road the Town of Wawayanda, on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the MIddle School Auditorium.

The OCIDA reached out to the district to request use of the auditorium because it anticipates a significant public turnout and needs a facility capable of accommodating the community. The district hosted a similar OCIDA public hearing on this project on June 10, 2025.

Providing space for the hearing should not be interpreted as the district taking a position on the proposed project or the associated, new PILOT proposal. The district has no public position on Project Bluebird and is providing the facility solely to accommodate a public hearing and facilitate community access and participation in the process.
