Minisink Valley will begin using ParentSquare, a single, easy-to-use system for staff and families, for parent/teacher communications this school year.
The district’s goal is to improve how families receive information, making it more accessible, timely, and responsive to different needs. With communications automatically translated into families’ preferred languages, and options to receive updates by email, app, voice, or text, ParentSquare supports meaningful engagement across the district’s school community.
“Our goal is to make communication more consistent and accessible for every family in our district,” said Christian Ranaudo, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction and chief technology officer. “ParentSquare gives us one system for teachers and families to use to communicate and makes it easier for them to respond and participate.”
The platform also reduces the administrative burden on staff by integrating directly with the district’s student information system and replacing manual processes with paperless workflows. Staff can track engagement, send real-time updates, and use one tool instead of managing multiple systems.
Families will be receiving information shortly on how to set up their accounts, customize their notification preferences and the free mobile app.
