High school’s book club students reinforce the importance of reading to Minisink Valley Elementary students

high school students reading to little studentsInterschool collaboration takes place all the time at Minisink Valley!

Students from the high school’s Book Club visited Minisink Valley Elementary School on March 2 to read some of the favorite books from their “younger days” to all K-2 classes.

Participating students were:  Catherine Barnett, Molly Dubner, William Granzow, Antonella Lombardo, Olivia Lombardo, Angela Perez, Rose Phillips, Taylor Poyton, Blanca Ayala Santana, Elizabeth Stalski and Alexia Tormey.

high school students reading to little studentsBecause it’s also Dr. Seuss Week and March 2 was  Dr. Seuss’ birthday, many book club students chose Dr. Seuss book titles, and even dressed up. K-2 students were also given bookmarks, stickers and buttons to remind them about the importance of reading.
