The Minisink Valley Board of Education honored Bus Driver Steve Constable with a Distinguished Service Award at its Nov. 2 meeting to recognize his heroic efforts to assist varsity volleyball team members and coaches and ensure their safety and wellbeing following the Oct. 17 bus incident on Interstate 84.

 

The board’s recognition of Mr. Constable follows the Girls Volleyball Program’s Oct. 24 recognition prior to a varsity game.  Team members gathered with their coaches and families to present Mr. Constable with momentos to thank him and let him know how special and important he is to the team.
