To ensure that all member districts are following consistent protocols, Section IX has established the spectator attendance practices for interscholastic athletic contests during the 2021 Fall 2 season.

• Spectators will not be allowed at any athletic event held at an indoor venue, on or off school district property.
• Outdoor events will allow spectators based on the recommendations of the New York State  Department of Health (NYSDOH)  Currently, a maximum of two spectators per athlete will be permitted. All spectators must maintain social distancing and are required to wear a mask at all times. Family members will be permitted to sit next to one another.

Section IX school districts have the right to be more restrictive with their spectator rules.  Minisink Valley will allow two spectators from each athlete’s family.  The visiting team will be allowed two spectators from each of their athlete’s families.
