District to follow ‘Remote Wednesday’ schedule for Tuesday, Feb. 2

Dear Minisink Valley school community:

The weather forecast continues to show we’ll be dealing with more snow on Tuesday.

As we’ve previously communicated to you, each inclement weather day’s specific circumstances will be factored into how instruction may be provided, along with other factors.

Because of the importance of maintaining academic instruction consistency, the district will operate on a “Remote Wednesday” schedule tomorrow, Feb. 2.  This allows us to continue with important academic work while preserving our final snow day of this school year.

Our faculty and staff are well-prepared for remote instruction, and know to be sensitive to any challenges tied to possible connectivity issues.

As a reminder, the normal “Remote Wednesday” schedule will continue this Wednesday, Feb. 3, so there will be back-to-back Remote Wednesday days. Please be sure to email your child’s teachers or principal with any questions you may have.

The campus will be closed tomorrow during normal school hours to all traffic for snow removal purposes.

Thank you, and please continue to stay safe during this memorable storm.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
