Elementary school’s academic lessons are tied to Valentine’s Day fun

What’s cuter than kindergartners who celebrated Valentine’s Day by making adorable crafts and completing lessons tied to this “heart holiday?”

Marjori Bobish’s kindergarten class at Minisink Elementary matched upper case heart letters with lowercase ones, used shapes to make Valentine-themed messages and to create big hearts and practiced their fine motor skills with a “You make my heart sparkle valentine” activity.

kids with heartsThey also made awesome peacock treat bags to collect their valentines! (Remember, when you were young, how much fun giving valentine cards and treats was?) And, moms and dads were sure to give big hugs to their little valentines when they see this sweet “Our hands will definitely touch your heart” art project!
