Sunshine, smiles and unseasonably hot weather awaited students when they returned to the district’s campuses today, Sept. 6, the opening day of the 2023-24 school year.
“The very hot weather didn’t keep our students, faculty and staff from having a wonderful first day of school,” said Superintendent Brian Monahan, who visited all buildings today with members of the Board of Education. “Everyone we met during the day told us they were happy to be back and ready for a great year. We’re looking forward to seeing our students’ academic success as well as their co-curricular fun and athletic achievements.”
