Harlem MagicMasters’ Intermediate School assembly visit reinforces the importance of kindness, respect, self-care and anti-bullying

Kenny “Da Blenda” Rodriguez of the Harlem MagicMasters basketball team visited the Intermediate School today, March 7,  for a schoolwide assembly focusing on kindness, respect, self-care and anti-bullying.

Kenny, who formerly played with the Harlem Globetrotters, has traveled the world using the sport of basketball to educate and entertain and as the springboard for his messaging about important character traits.   He’s appeared on numerous television shows, including Good Morning America.

His high energy performance engaged students and staff who were amazed and thrilled by his impressive basketball handling skills and tricks — particularly when those tricks involved their peers. His important messages were well received by students, who also had fun watching him and selected peers and teachers taking part in his presentation.
