High school students take part in school-wide initiative focusing on peace and nonviolence

student talkingMinisink Valley High School faculty and staff are focusing on “School Day of Peace and Nonviolence” activities through the end of February.

Teachers and students collaborated on different projects to promote this theme, with hallways filled with messages from  students on peace, love and nonviolence.

Adding to this message were  projects about Martin Luther King Jr., poetry, bulletin boards on peace in the environment, artwork and music from the Music Department teachers along with origami doves conveying the message of peace and love.  School announcements focused on courage, gratitude, compassion and forgiveness.

We invite you to view their work:  Celebrating the time of peace and nonviolence.
